What's Your Vision?

And then God answered: “Write this.Write what you see.
Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come right on time. -Habukkuk 2:2-3

I once heard my pastor, Sergio De La Mora, say, "Our problems are not the problem. Our problem is the way we perceive our problems." Perception is everything.

Our lives are the sum result of our response to the issues that arise. Life truly is composes of how we choose to handle it. This message is not just for you but for me too. I find myself losing sight of the power that I have within. I forget about the victory that God just blessed me with or the battle God just won for me before. I find myself nestled in overwhelming emotions only to wonder "God, what are we going to do?" Honestly, when you rest in God (Psalm 46:10) you don't have to ask the question. Rest in God means not allowing the storm occurring on the outside of you to find its way within you.

If God were to ask you today to write the vision and make it plain, what would you write? From what lens do you look at your life? Better yet, what lens do you use to view God? As powerful as God is, he will only be to you what you allow him to be. He wants your willing heart and will allow you to choose otherwise. Think about the joy and the challenges in your life and examine how you perceive it. Does life really suck or does your attitude need to change? Things aren't always easy but one common key to perseverance in a controlled state of mind. Change your outlook to be in a place that will allow you to see how big God truly is and what He can do for you.
