What brings true value to life: love, faith, joy, giving, peace, freedom are all things that we must fight to maintain. The great thing is, that when we understand that a successful life cannot be measured by material wealth, we can stop giving up and ignoring so many precious things that this life has to offer. As a history major, I have seen that a great majority of social ills that have taken place in America and abroad is rooted by one main evil, GREED. People are so bent on getting material wealth and riches that they selfishly fulfill their need at the sake of others. True humanity is realizing that one person attaining the wealth of a nation does not beautify or uplift that nation. It is when that wealth is purposed and used for the progression of the whole, that you see lives changed, the hungry feed, and the homeless sleep in warm beds.
God did not create these things so we can make a mockery of his majesty. In Psalms, it states that God can measure the universe in the palm of his hand. David rightfully claimed, "Who is man that you are mindful of us?" So many people blame the US government for this recession and yes there were moves made centered by GREED that lead the US to this financial crisis. However, God can use this moment at a teaching and learning tool. A billion dollars does not make any man greater than GOD. If we can stretch our hand to resemble the compassion and love of our FATHER (GOD) the world would be a better place. We must strive for right. Life is worth more, our God deserves more.

Well said I agree, true riches come from the purity of the heart to give to others, rather than to take from others because of the addiction of greed. Jesus gave his life for humanity, wealth here on earth doesn't compare to heavens abundances. Most of us watse our live storing earthly wealth but forgetting about blessing the kingdom of God storing up heavenly Blessings for themselves.
